I've been playing this live at at pretty much every show for the past 3-4 years and before I do, I thank the audience for being the kind of people that show up and support. I remind them to keep doing that because we can't survive on the other things, I remind them to buy mine and other artist's merchandise and just keep being the legends that they clearly are by being there. Obviously at the moment we can't really play shows, so where are we supposed to get our revenue? We are lucky places like Bandcamp exist and I try to also remind fans to be sure to support artists they like on a platform like that, where the artist can actually see some of the money and it can help them. At the end of the day, if someone's music is helping you or contributes to your life in some way, that is beautiful and I can think of nothing better than helping them continue to create so you can continue to listen. I can't thank Gillian Welch and David Rawlings enough for putting something I feel so strongly about into words, the perfect song. It's an honour to sing it every time I do.

People have been asking me to release it for a long time and as we enter our fourth lockdown here in Melbourne I figured after more cancelled shows and lost work and playing music at home still being one of the main things giving me comfort. Now was the time.
